Organize and completes all the disclosing activates for all WMC loan files and assists in other compliance related activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Duties may vary slightly by state and/or branch. Other duties may be assigned.

Review new files submitted within 48 hours of receipt.
Complete all required disclosing activities, within three business days of application, ensuring all information on each document/disclosure is accurate. Files include:
Truth in Lending disclosures
Good Faith Estimate
Mail disclosures to customers within guidelines.
Research discrepancies on files during the disclosing process and discuss with Loan Originator or appropriate department.
Makes suggestions to Compliance Manager regarding improvements of the disclosing process.
Maintains knowledge of all current government regulations and changes in regulations.
Monitor Loan Originators pipeline.
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding customer's personal and financial information.


Completes any additional duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead.

Maintains a focus on enhancing customer service skills and knowledge.

Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required.

Assists WMC employees and Departments as needed.

Individuals in this position shall not engage in loan origination during the course of his/her employment with WMC. Loan origination is defined as (1) taking a residential mortgage loan application; or (2) offering or negotiating terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain.


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be detail oriented, able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines in addition to the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 2-3 years in the mortgage industry and a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Additional education and/or experience: Must have experience in a correspondent lending environment with conventional, FHA and VA loans.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have experience working on a mortgage processing system, preferably Encompass. Experience working with Microsoft office products. Great attention to detail and the ability to accurately input data.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good grammar and diction. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
