Trico is currently seeking to add a CNC Machinist to our Supply Team. The primary objective of this position is to manufacture component parts for Trico products which meet our performance, quality, and customer delivery expectations.
Our work environment is fast paced and team-oriented. Using horizontal mills, lathes, presses, and grinders, the Machnist will setup, operate, and finish machine parts. The work will be repetitive some days, but most of the time the Machnist will be responsible for the production of several machines at a time. You must be reliable, with an exceptional attendance record at past employers.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures and operational sequence.
Set up, adjust and operate machine tools independently.
Perform complex machine set ups and critical operations, subject to review.
Position and secure workpiece in machine.
Position tools in relation to workpiece.
Operate various hand tools, power hand tools, and machine tools to make finish adjustments to products.
Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.
Examine and feel surface of workpiece for defects.
Sharpen cutting tools as needed.
Troubleshoot operating, material and tooling problems.
Perform general preventive maintenance work on tools and equipment.
Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Enhance and improve the team atmosphere by projecting a positive, can-do attitude.
Use computer software, such as Excel, to track and review team performance metrics.
Observe safety rules, and contribute to a safe work environment by reporting unsafe conditions and work practices to the Safety Committee.
Qualified candidates must:
Have a high school diploma or equivalent,
Have experience setting up machines (ideally using Fanuc controls),
Be able to work with hand and power tools,
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds,
Must be able to walk and stand for most of the day,
Have basic computer skills, and
Constantly seek out ways to improve processes, the team and yourself.
